The guest on Radio Lublin’s “Studio Wschodnie” programme was Dr Michał Paszkowski, a senior analyst at the Institute of Central Europe (IEŚ) in Lublin.
The discussion focused on the Neptun Deep project and its significance for the natural gas market in Europe. The expert discussed Romania’s role as a potentially important natural gas producer and exporter in the Central European region, as well as possible routes for delivering this resource and the importance of transmission infrastructure, including the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline.
The program also addressed the risks associated with the implementation of the project, including regulatory, infrastructure, and security-related risks.
The second topic of the discussion was the situation on the global fuel market in the context of tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz and the conflict in the Middle East. Dr Paszkowski commented on the potential impact of these developments on oil and fuel prices, as well as the outlook for changes in fuel prices at petrol stations in Poland during the second half of the summer.
