Redakcja czasopisma „Rocznik Instytutu Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej” zaprasza do składania artykułów i recenzji przeznaczonych do publikacji w 2021 r. do następujących tomów Rocznika:

Ewolucja bezpieczeństwa na obszarze Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej

Bezpieczeństwo jako zjawisko procesualne ulega ciągłej ewolucji, której tempo koresponduje z tempem przemian cywilizacyjnych, a zakres odzwierciedla jakościowy charakter zmian zachodzących w środowisku międzynarodowym i generujących nowe wyzwania i zagrożenia. Rok 2020 przyniósł dodatkowe zmiany, których konsekwencje będą miały daleko idący wpływ na bezpieczeństwo w Europie Środkowej i Wschodniej. Coraz większego znaczenia nabierają także pozamilitarne zagrożenia bezpieczeństwa, a w konsekwencji działania na rzecz bezpieczeństwa stają się coraz bardziej wielowymiarowe.

Zapraszamy do nadsyłania artykułów (w języku polskim) analizujących proces ewolucji bezpieczeństwa międzynarodowego na obszarze Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej, zarówno w odniesieniu do wyzwań i zagrożeń, jak i działań podejmowanych na rzecz bezpieczeństwa. Analizy te mogą dotyczyć tak tradycyjnych, jak i nietradycyjnych wymiarów bezpieczeństwa.

Objętość artykułu nie może przekraczać 40 000 znaków (wraz z bibliografią).

30 lat od upadku ZSRR – konsekwencje dla państw Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej

Formalny rozpad Związku Radzieckiego w grudniu 1991 r. oznaczał dla nowo powstałych państw poradzieckich (oraz byłych państw satelickich) kompletnie nową i nie przez wszystkich akceptowaną rzeczywistość polityczną, społeczną i ekonomiczną. Mija 30 lat od tych wydarzeń. Zapraszamy do składania artykułów analizujących przemiany, jakie dokonały się na obszarze poradzieckim na płaszczyźnie politycznej, gospodarczej, społecznej oraz bezpieczeństwa. W tym kontekście rodzi się naturalne pytanie, czy państwa, które odzyskały wolność i niepodległość po rozpadzie ZSRR, były w stanie wykorzystać tę sytuację i skutecznie dokonać transformacji swoich systemów politycznych?

Objętość artykułu nie może przekraczać 40 000 znaków (wraz z bibliografią).

The Baltic Sea Region: States, Societies and Future Development

Stretched from central parts of Europe up to its northernmost periphery, the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) has the potential to play an important role in European politics and global sustainability agenda. The so-called “sea nations” have led to the green technologies, digital innovation, high tech, social responsibility, and modern welfare, which may be useful when discussing ways to develop societies and meet future challenges.

We invite papers in English which examine the BSR in political, economic, social, and historical perspective(s). Potential topics include, but are not limited to, regional politics and economy, security, cooperation, identity, ideas, and culture. We especially welcome comparative and case-study analysis as well as interdisciplinary research devoted to current pandemic, migration, climate change, and digital technologies.

The paper should not exceed 40,000 characters (including bibliography).

Deadline for submissions: 30^th April 2021.

The 30th Anniversary of the Breakup of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia: Post-Cold War Dissolution Processes and its Consequences in the Balkans. Where Are We Now?

The year 2021 marks the 30^th anniversary of the breakup of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. For that reason, the Institute of Central Europe is planning to publish a thematic volume of the Yearbook of the Institute of East-Central Europe, dedicated to this complex subject. This publication seeks to present in-depth scientific research on the Yugoslav dissolution processes in the 90s, its multidimensional and far-reaching consequences, as well as the state of the ongoing integration processes in the Western Balkans.

This includes, among others, the origin, conditioning, dynamics and characteristics of the disintegration processes at the territory of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and its successor states; international engagement; the multidimensional political, legal, social, cultural, economic, military – both internal and international – consequences of the dissolution of the SFRY; the successes and limitations of the post-conflict peace-building, state-building and institution-building processes in the territory of the former Yugoslavia; the processes of modernization and democratization in the area of political, social and economic relations at the Western Balkans; the evolution of the international relations in the Western Balkans; the position of the ex-Yugoslav states and the WB6 subregion in the Post-Post-Cold War international system; successes and challenges of the present regional and Euro-Atlantic integration processes in the Western Balkans; finally, new threats to the stability and prosperity of the Western Balkans.

The paper should not exceed 40,000 characters (including bibliography).
