Dr. Andrzej Szabaciuk participated in the debate “Public diplomacy and concern for the good name of Poland abroad”

On August 27-29, 2021, in the building of the Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek and in Warsaw, the Past / Future Review was held, organized by the Janusz Kurtyka Foundation.

This event had a dynamic and multifaceted formula, which consisted of a series of debates, a scientific conference, a Foundation Prize Gala, an exhibition presenting initiatives commemorating the Holocaust in Poland, visiting the exposition of the Józef Piłsudski Museum and the Janusz Kurtyka, as well as a historical walk around Warsaw.

On the first day (August 27th) of the Review, three debates with the participation of specialists were held, during which problems related to the promotion of Polish history were discussed. The first of them, entitled “Public diplomacy and concern for the good name of Poland abroad”, discussed, inter alia, problems related to the significance of facts from the past for the current bilateral relations of our country with partners. The subject of a coherent vision of the history of our country and the strategy for its promotion was also discussed. Prof. Joanna Dyduch (Jagiellonian University), Hanna Radziejowska (Pilecki Institute in Berlin) and Dr. Andrzej Szabaciuk (KUL, IEŚ).
