Polish–Ukrainian Relations and Belarus in Focus. Andrzej Szabaciuk on “Studio Wschodnie”

In the latest edition of the “Studio Wschodnie” (radio show), Tomasz Nieśpiała spoke with Dr. Andrzej Szabaciuk, senior analyst at the Institute of Central Europe in Lublin, who offered an in-depth analysis of key current developments in Central and Eastern Europe.

The conversation began with the state of Polish–Ukrainian relations, including the significance of the recent meeting between President Karol Nawrocki and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as its potential political implications.

The discussion also turned to Belarus, focusing in particular on the decision by Alyaksandr Lukashenko’s regime to release some political prisoners. Dr. Szabaciuk addressed the question of why Andrzej Poczobut, one of Belarus’s most well-known political prisoners, was not among those released.

Listeners are invited to tune in to the programme.
