On 14 December 2021, Institute of Central Europe hosted a meeting with Prof. Oleksandr Shubaly, the Head of the Economics Department of the Lutsk National Technical University, who is currently a scholarship holder of the Kirkland Research Programme. The Institute was represented by director, prof. Beata Surmacz, Deputy Director, prof. Tomasz Stępniewski and Senior Analyst of the Eastern Europe Team, Dr. Hanna Bazhenova.
The topic of the meeting was the planned cooperation between the two institutions. The participants also discussed the possibility of presenting and discussing the results of research by Professor Oleksandr Shubaly on financial support for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030) in the border regions of Poland and Ukraine.
