Lublin Forum 2026 | Russian Aggression: Roots and Forms

Lublin Forum 2026 | Russian Aggression: Roots and Forms

On 19–20 May 2026, Lublin will host the next edition of the Lublin Forum—an international event devoted to the key political, economic, and social challenges facing Central and Eastern Europe and its wider neighbourhood. This year’s edition, titled Russian Aggression: Roots and Forms, will bring together historical and political science perspectives, offering experts, scholars, and practitioners a platform to examine the long-term continuity of Russian imperialism, its historical foundations, ideological narratives, and its impact on today’s politics and international security.

Over the course of the two-day Forum, participants will discuss issues including the legacy of Kyivan Rus, Russia’s claims toward Kyiv and Central and Eastern Europe, and the importance of these narratives for the strategy and international position of the Russian Federation.

The programme will also address contemporary geopolitical challenges—from memory politics and cognitive warfare, to maritime security, EU and NATO enlargement, and the relations between Central and Eastern Europe and the Global South in an increasingly multipolar international order.

Lublin Forum 2026 is aimed at those who want to better understand not only the current manifestations of Russian aggression, but also its deeper structural foundations.

Detailed information about the programme and speakers will be published progressively in the coming weeks. We encourage you to follow our website and social media channels for updates.
