Octavian Ţîcu is a historian, politician, and former Minister of Youth and Sport in the Moldovan government (2013). Since 2019, he has served as a Deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and as Chairman of the Party of National Unity. Ţîcu holds a PhD in history. His research interests are focused mainly on Soviet and post-Soviet history and the post-communist transitions in Eastern Europe. He is the author or co-author of ten books, including The Bessarabia Problem and Soviet-Romanian Relationships in the Interwar Period (1919–1939) and An Illustrated History of the Romanians East of the Prut: from 1791 to the present.
Kamil Całus is a specialist on topics related to the Republic of Moldova and Romania. Since 2012, he has been an analyst at the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) in Warsaw. He also has authored numerous press articles and several books, including The Unfinished State. 25 Years of Independent Moldova and In the Shadow of History. Romanian-Moldovan Relations. Moreover, Całus has written reports for the European Parliament on reforms in the Republic of Moldova.
