Dr Jakub Olchowski, Senior Analyst at the Institute of Central Europe, commented on the situation in Poland’s information space following Russian drone attacks near the Polish border in an interview with the Polish Press Agency (PAP).
The expert highlighted the role of information noise as an instrument of Russia’s hybrid warfare. As he emphasised, the information gap that emerges between an event and the release of official, verified information can quickly be filled with disinformation, conspiracy theories, and unverified reports.
It does not really matter who is telling the truth and who is not; what matters is who says more,” Dr Olchowski noted.
