Analitycy IEŚ uczestniczyli w międzynarodowej konferencji organizowanej przez Vytautas Magnus University, we współpracy z Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS), pt. Turning Points: Values and Conflicting Futures in the Baltics, Kowno (Litwa) w dniach 15-17 czerwca 2023 r.
W czasie konferencji obyła się prezentacja IEŚ Policy Papers: The Baltic states and new security challenges in flux pod red. Aleksandry Kuczyńskiej-Zonik i Tomasza Stępniewskiego w czasie okrągłego stołu pt. „Baltic States, the Baltic Sea Region, and New Security Challenges in Flux” z udziałem: Mariusz Antonowicz, Vilnius University, Zdzisław Śliwa, Baltic Defence College i Aleksandra Kuczyńska-Zonik z IEŚ i moderacją: Tomasz Stępniewski z IEŚ.
Ponadto, prof. Tomasz Stępniewski moderował panel pt. „The Russia-Ukraine war as an impetus for a new EU neighbourhood and enlargement policy”, podczas którego wygłosił referat pt. “Eastern Partnership as a Geopolitical Hostage between the EU and Russia”. Dodatkowo, prof. Stępniewski moderował panel pt. “Russian aggression in Ukraine and its influence for new understanding of global security, national threats, and constitutional law”.
Dr Aleksandra Kuczyńska-Zonik wzięła udział w panelu pt. “Baltic Diplomacy, Soft Power and Politics of Memory: From Post-Soviet Transformation Till the European Union” oraz współmoderowała panel „Baltic States, the Baltic Sea Region, and New Security Challenges in Flux” a dr Damian Szacawa w panelu pt. „Many Regions in the Baltic Sea Area”
