We invite you to watch the webinar: Southeast European Reactions to the war in Ukraine / 4 March 2022
In Central Europe the war in Ukraine is overwhelmingly percieved as a threat not only to the regional stability but also to the peace in Europe. The conflict triggers implications also for the future of NATO’s Eastern Flank. Despite the membership in the Alliance of most of the Balkan countries, they take different approaches towards the conflict from equivocal mobilization through softer, conciliatory positions to openly pro-Russian statements. Thus, it is plausible to examine the consequences of these formally allied, yet independent responses on the security architecture in the region.
