Abstrakt: Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie i analiza ewolucji greckiej polityki wobec Bałkanów od zakończenia zimnej wojny do czasów współczesnych. W artykule zastosowano metodę chronologiczno-opisową oraz studium przypadku. Wskazano, że początkowo grecka polityka w regionie była reaktywna, zachowawcza, nacjonalistyczna i oparta na współpracy z serbskim rządem Miloszewicza, co doprowadziło do marginalizacji jej znaczenia na Bałkanach. Dopiero europeizacja greckiej polityki i oparcie się na strukturach euroatlantyckich wzmocniły pozycję Aten wśród bałkańskich sąsiadów. Niewątpliwie kryzys finansowy ograniczył skuteczność bałkańskiej polityki Grecji, która obecnie ambitnie odbudowuje swój wizerunek jako adwokata państw bałkańskich w UE i NATO.
