Abstrakt: Niniejsze opracowanie analizuje politykę Rosji wobec RadyPaństw Morza Bałtyckiego i w jej ramach w następstwie kryzysu ukraińskiegoi innych kryzysów międzynarodowych. W szczególności opracowanie analizujezainteresowanie i oczekiwania Rosji wobec RPMB, a także instytucjonalnepostępowanie Moskwy w Radzie. RPMB jest postrzegana przez Rosję zarównojako centralny element, jak i kamień węgielny regionalnego systemu zarządzania.Moskwa postrzega także RPMB jako ważne narzędzie przezwyciężeniapolityczno-dyplomatycznej izolacji, w której znalazła się Rosja wraz z początkiemkryzysu ukraińskiego. Z pomocą RPMB zachowuje zdolność wpływaniana rozwój społeczno-gospodarczy, polityczny, środowiskowy i humanitarnyw regionie Morza Bałtyckiego. Rosja poparła trzy obszary długoterminowegopriorytetu Rady: tożsamość regionalną, zrównoważony i zamożny region oraz bezpieczny i chroniony region. Rosja opowiadała się za dalszą instytucjonalizacją Rady i wzmocnieniem jej roli w regionalnym systemie zarządzania. Mimo że stosunki Rosji z innymi państwami członkowskimi RPMB pozostają napięte, a Moskwie nie zawsze udaje się wykorzystać Radę do promowania swoich interesów w regionie, Rosja nadal postrzega RPMB jako ważną platformę współpracy regionalnej.
